Glossary of Common Generator Terms

Liquid-Cooled Engine:

A generator engine creates heat that must be dissipated in some way; either an air-cooled or liquid- or water-cooled system. A liquid cooling system is a more complex system, but since water is a much better thermal conductor, these types of cooling systems are used in larger-sized generators and generators that must run for long periods of time.
